Norman Price has the reputation as a mischief maker, but the truth is Norman never means to be bad, it’s just that he has a big imagination and not as much expertise as he thinks he has. If there is an out of control rocket powered pogo stick, Norman will be on it. If there’s an unattended zipline it won’t be long until Norman is flying along it with a fly up his nose. No matter how many times he says he’s sorry to the fire-fighting team for yet another piece of foolhardy behaviour… he’ll soon be doing something else just as silly, often accompanied by the utterance of one of his catchphrases ‘Oooopsy’.
Norman lives above The Cut Price Store with his mum, Dilys who dotes on him, constantly referring to him as her little treasure. Norman has several alter egos. Pontypandy’s not very magical magician The Great Normansky, co-founder of the Why Files, an organisation that investigates the Mysteeeeeeerious Mysteries of Pontypandy (along with Hannah) and of course Norman Man, an inept superhero who, along with his sidekick Atomic Boy (James) has vowed to save the people of Pontypandy from Peril… unfortunately he usually ends up dangling by his underpants from a tree.
FUN FACTS:
It’s hard to imagine what Norman wants to be when he grows up, his interests change to whatever he’s just read about or seen on the internet. But his huge imagination and his indomitable will means that he will ultimately be a huge success at something – just as soon as he’s old enough to start learning from his mistakes!
Norman loves all sweets apart from the dreaded custard chews.
He once got his bottom stuck in some railings.
