Cartoon Network has developed kids TV channel Cartoonito to provide fun, entertaining and light educational viewing for pre-school kids.
Cartoonito is 13 hours of brilliant pre-school kids TV everyday delivered by 6 lovable shapes – collectively called “The Cartoonitos”.
The Cartoonitos each embody characteristics of pre-school kids and are as curious, lively and amazed about the world as your child is. We understand that you want your child to learn whilst they watch kids TV, but we also understand that they want to have fun. And this is the very reason we’ve developed these 6 adorable and very funny characters!
Kids shows on Cartoonito include the very best in kids TV - with the lovable purple dinosaur, Barney in Barney and Friends, Pontypandy hero Fireman Sam, the Hi-5 singing and dancing gang, the cute toddler cartoon characters Bugs, Daffy, Sylvester and Tweety in Baby Looney Tunes, favourite dinosaur pals Chomper, Cera and Ducky in The Land Before Time, and the fun-loving Fraggles down at Fraggle Rock.
We air Cartoonito from 6am until 7pm as we know this works for you and for the children.
Online, the free kids games section provides online educational games and learning games. Specifically aimed at pre-schoolers, the Paint a Picture learning game allows kids to explore their creativity and learn about mixing colours by painting a choice of familiar objects such as birds, fish and toys.
Other online educational and learning games include How Many, a learning game which encourages children to count objects in order and recognise numbers and animals through their shape and sound. There's also French Word Fun, a series of online educational games which introduces children to a new language using words and pictures.
